What to look for in a freelancer

Style
Even an adaptable writer isn't going to be good at writing everything. Some writers are more technical, while other writers excel at humor. Be sure to find a writer with the right style.

Portfolio
A freelancer with any kind of experience should have a solid portfolio. Examine samples thoroughly.

References
Unless the freelancer is just starting out, he should be able to provide names of happy clients he has worked with in the past.

Resume
Beware of the freelancer who charges too little for his work. Low rates are usually the mark of inexperienced freelancers.

Graphics
Great design is in the details. Design begins with choosing colors, typefaces, shapes, and images; however, I apply the four basic design principles: proximity, alignment, repetition, and contrast, to all of my work to ensure that my designs communicate the right message to your customers.
